Commercial Construction Project Estimator
Diamond General Contracting is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Estimator to help price and organize commercial projects ranging from tenant improvements and franchise buildouts to ground-up construction.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented estimator who understands construction, can read plans thoroughly, identify missing information, build clear scopes of work, solicit and qualify subcontractor bids, and prepare accurate budgets and proposals. This role is well-suited for someone who takes pride in producing organized, reliable estimates rather than simply filling in numbers.
Responsibilities include reviewing construction documents, performing quantity takeoffs, preparing bid packages, communicating with subcontractors, leveling bids, identifying scope gaps, developing value-engineering options, and working closely with ownership and project management to turn estimates into executable projects.
We are looking for someone with strong commercial construction experience, good subcontractor communication skills, practical field knowledge, and the ability to think like a builder. Experience with retail, office, warehouse, automotive, franchise, or light commercial projects is a plus.
